Luxury Watches

Sell Your Rolex

Rolex is the most liquid luxury watch in the world, which means there is a real, published secondary market for almost every reference — and a lot of buyers hoping you have not looked at it. We price your Rolex from current dealer and auction results for its exact reference, dial, and condition, and we explain every factor before you decide.

What Drives a Rolex Offer

Reference and dial. Within any model line, specific references and dial variants trade at very different prices; a steel Daytona with a ceramic bezel, a GMT-Master II “Pepsi,” or a Submariner with a discontinued dial can sell above its original retail, while a two-tone Datejust from the 1990s trades on a much more modest scale. Condition. An unpolished case with crisp lugs and sharp bevels brings the most; heavy polishing, replaced parts, and aftermarket dials or bezels reduce value. Completeness. The box, warranty card or papers, booklets, hang tags, and spare links each add — the “full set” premium can be 10–20% on modern sports models. Service history and the current market, which for Rolex moves week to week and which we check on the day.

Box and Papers, Service, and Polishing

You can sell a Rolex without box and papers. We verify authenticity from the case, movement, dial, bracelet codes, and serial and reference engravings, and the offer is simply lower than a full set. Do not have the watch serviced or polished before selling: the service cost rarely comes back in the offer, and polishing removes metal and value. Bring it as it is, with everything that came with it — box, papers, warranty card, booklets, tags, service receipts, and spare links.

Vintage Rolex

Vintage references — pre-1990 Submariners, GMT-Masters, Daytonas, Explorers, Day-Dates, and Datejusts, along with early bubblebacks and Oysters — are valued differently from modern watches. Originality is everything: an original dial, bezel insert, hands, and crown on a 1970s 1675 can be worth multiples of the same watch with Rolex service replacements, and a “tropical” dial or a rare variant can be worth many times more. We check each component and price vintage Rolex against auction results.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much is my used Rolex worth?

It depends on the exact reference, dial, condition, and completeness, and on the market that week. Steel sports models often resell at or above retail; classic Datejusts and Day-Dates resell at a fraction of retail. Send us the reference number and photos for a preliminary range.

Do you buy Rolex watches without box and papers?

Yes. A full set raises the offer, but we buy watches without it after verifying authenticity and serial number.

Do you buy Rolex watches that need service or do not run?

Yes. We price them on the model and the likely repair and buy them regularly.

Can you tell if my Rolex is genuine?

Yes. Authentication — case, movement, dial, bracelet, engravings, and production details — is part of the free evaluation.

Will you buy a Rolex with an aftermarket diamond bezel or dial?

Yes, but aftermarket parts reduce the value; the watch is priced closer to an incomplete original.
